History
Nordisk Rörmärkning AB is a family-owned company that was founded in 1984. It all started with Claes W Kjellberg who was then sales manager in the technical tape department at Mölnlycke AB, where products included pipe markings as well as Nitto’s range of tapes. At that time it was Nitto’s ambition to establish itself in Sweden. Claes didn’t want to join the new organisation, but was given the opportunity to buy out the pipe marking operation from Mölnlycke AB.
At that time Nordisk Rörmärkning AB had its office right in the heart of central Göteborg.
In 1991 Claes’ youngest son Christian started working with his father after tiring of working with computers. In 1994 the office and warehouse was moved to a 300 m² premises in Älvängen, 35 kilometres north of Göteborg. In 2001 the company invested in its own flexo printing press. This means that we can print all pipe markings ourselves, along with packing tape and barrier tape.
In 2003 an investment was made in a laser engraving machine to replace the traditional computer-controlled engraving machine that is now only used in emergencies.
